60th anniversary & reopening of the refurbished church

All are welcome to join us for a double celebration this weekend – 23rd and 24th November.  Saturday 23rd, 10.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m. – Open day.  Come and have a look around the church and find out about forthcoming events.  7.30 – 9.00 p.m. – Dedication service.  Sunday, 10.30 a.m. – 12.00 noon – 60th anniversary celebration service, preacher: Roy Ecclestone.  6.00 – 7.15 p.m. – Reopening of the refurbished church celebration service, preacher: Andrew Calvert.

Inspiring and humbling prayer service on Sunday evening with contributions from David and Liz Lloyd representing www.opendoorsuk.org/seechange , with harrowing stories of persecuted Christians in Nigeria. The regular service times at Cross Street Church are: Sunday Morning Service: 10.30 a.m. – 12.00 noon Sunday Evening Service: 6.00 – 7.00 p.m. Tuesday Afternoon Fellowship: 1.30 – 2.30 p.m. followed by tea/coffee and biscuits Bible Study and prayer: Thursdays, 7.30 – 9.00 p.m. Click on “Monthly Diaries” and then “Church Diary” for details of Family Services, youth and children’s clubs and special events happening this month.

Church refurbishment update

The Church is nearing completion of its refurbishment that will include a fire exit/additional entrance, level floor with underfloor heating, larger stage area and new chairs. Up coming events that are now definite:”Lighthouse” – a children’s club for Primary school children: Friday 8th November, 5.30 – 7.00 p.m. Evening of Prayer for the persecuted church – Sunday 17th November, 6.00 p.m. Official reopening of the refurbished church celebration: Sunday 24th November, 6.00 p.m.

Help the Street Children

Sunday 30th June, 6.00 – 7.15 p.m.  Speaker: David Taylor, Founder of Colombia Child Care.  David was converted in a prison cell from a life of alcohol addiction, drug abuse and eastern religions to a new life in Christ.  God called him in a dream to go to Colombia and this year Colombia Child Care celebrates its 20th anniversary.
