Holiday at Home 2017

Holiday at Home is three days of hands on activities and interesting speakers for the over 55′s.  This year it will be Tuesday 13th, Wednesday 14th & Thursday 15th June, 11.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m. Activities this year include: The History of Bread by local baker, Alison Bond, including a harvest loaf making demonstration and a chance to get your hands on some dough, Around the eyes with ophthalmic nurse, Lucy Wachira-Worth who will be talking about common eye problems experienced in later life, Health and wellbeing day led by Rachel David, who is a qualified nutritionist and will be talking about various health, diet and exercise issues as well as giving a hand massage demonstration, paint a pot with Liz Nicosia, Get Creative with pegs and rags with Andrew Calvert and Afternoon Tea and poetry.  Tea, coffee and lunch/ afternoon tea will be provided each day.  There will be no charge but a basket will be available for donations.  Booking forms available from Cross Street Church or Congleton Information Centre.
