The Tuesday Afternoon Fellowship were really encouraged this week as former Missionaries to the Congo, Roy and Marion Leeming, shared with them about the history of Central Africa Missions. About 100 years ago Willie Burton and Jimmie Salter went to pioneer the work in an area where the people were cannibals who lived in fear of ancestral spirits. God worked miraculously through these pioneer missionaries and they saw miraculous healings and thousands of people converted.
There are now over 5,000 churches in Congo and the mission has also spread into Zambia, Ethiopia and Mosambique.
Thanks to funds raised on the charity table in the cafe a donation of £100 was made towards Central Africa Missions.
